Wicker furniture is very attractive but it can be difficult to clean. As far as upholstered furniture goes, it can be difficult to clean because of all the places on it for dirt to hide. Still, you can clean your own wicker furniture if you just follow a few steps.
The first step in the cleaning process is to remove as much dry soil as possible. Use your homes vacuum cleaner and vacuum off as much dry soil as possible. You can use a soft bristled brush or paintbrush to lightly loosen dry soil so that it can be more easily vacuumed.
In most cases, your furniture will now be clean. If they need a little more, you will need to use moisture. Wicker furniture reacts well to moisture but it should not be soaked. In a bucket, mix up a solution of water and a mild dish soap such as Joy. Whip the mixture into a foam and apply the foam from the surface to the wicker furniture working in small sections. Agitate the foam with a soft brush and then wipe the area clean with a damp sponge. Repeat this procedure over the rest of the piece of furniture.
